Warehouses often receive a reservation and then panic. What's next? So I wrote this article where you can read more about what to do when you get your first booking.
In this article you will read :
- How will you receive the reservation?
- The process when cargo arrives into your warehouse (Start storing)
- The process when cargo leaves your warehouse (Start shipping)
- Invoicing flow, and who will pay you?
- What if cargo will be in the warehouse longer?
1.) How will you receive the reservation?
When the client makes the reservation for your warehouse, you will receive:
1️⃣ Email
2️⃣ SMS notification
‼️ You will need to accept or reject the request ‼️
In the email, you will be able to see all the details about the reservation like dates, cargo specification, pricing, and more.
2.) The process when cargo arrives into your warehouse
We call this process "Start Storing". This process must be done when cargo arrives at your warehouse. It is the 3-step process where you will be able to edit arrived reservations.
You will be able to edit cargo descriptions or add/remove cargo. At this step, your signature will be needed so the system will be able to create CMR when cargo leaves. You can do this process on mobile or computer.
3.) The process when cargo leaves your warehouse
We call it "Start shipping". It is similar to the "Start Storing" process but it must be done just before the cargo leaves the warehouse. When this step is finished, the reservation will be finished. You will receive a final report, CMR, and invoicing instructions.
4.) Invoicing flow, and who will pay you?
When you do both processes, you will receive invoicing instructions to your email address (and all other docs like CMR). You will need to create the invoice, send it to us by email, and we will pay it the next working day.
We (StoringCargo), will pay you (the warehouse) for the service you will make.
5.) What if cargo will be in the warehouse longer?
If the cargo stays longer in the warehouse, the costs will be automatically increased.
If you would like to try a free testing reservation, also send us an email.
